HOW CAN I ADD A DIAGNOL/SLANTED TEXT TO MY PICTURE LIKE THIS?

you just use the TEXT tool (T) in the tool box.

You change the option for "ROTATE".

In your example, that is about "up 45 degrees"

how can i get words on images
to go ontop of one another?

for example: http://i35.tinypic.com/292v2uv.jpg

first click on the lunapic logo then upload your image and then click on the text tool type your word and place you word anywhere with your mouse and drag your picture then if you like where it's click apply text and if you want add another word..click on update preview,
